A year after the Digital Statecraft Academy’s (DSA) founding manifesto, governing well in the algorithmic age comes into sharper focus: two conditions held together, ability and legitimacy. From these, DSA has derived Ten Principles that should guide the design, implementation, and development of the twenty-first-century state — set out in “The Digital Statecraft Manifesto 2026.“
This is your chance to shape it before it is final. Zeynep Engin, Tim Gordon, Viviana Bastidas, David Uriel Socol de la Osa, Irene Ng, and Stefaan Verhulst open the floor to debate and challenge the Principles directly. This is a call to those responsible for governing, and those who demand they do so ably and legitimately, in the algorithmic age. To endorse, write to office@digitalstatecraft.academy — before, during, or after the session — and your name joins the Manifesto’s public launch.
